ATTEN TPR32-5A POWER SUPPLY

€139.00

The ATTEN TPR32-5A is a programmable laboratory DC power supply offering 0–32 V and 0–5 A from a single output. It regulates with a series-type linear stage under MCU control, so it keeps the low output noise that makes linear supplies the standard choice for analogue, audio and sensor work, while adding the memory, repeatability and remote operation of a digitally controlled instrument. Voltage and current are continuously adjustable and read back on two four-digit meters, with automatic changeover between constant-voltage and constant-current operation as the load demands.

A programmable bench supply
with a linear output stage.

The ATTEN TPR32-5A is a single-channel DC bench power supply delivering 0 – 32 V at 0 – 5 A. It uses a series-type linear regulator under MCU digital control, which keeps the low output noise and stability of an analogue supply while adding the repeatability, memory and remote control of a programmable instrument.

Ten memory positions each store a complete setup — voltage, current and the over-voltage and over-current limits — so a repeatable test condition is one key press away. A standard RS232 interface allows the supply to be driven from a PC, and an external control mode lets another instrument set its output. Two or more units can be combined master-slave, in series for a higher voltage or in parallel for more current.

It is intended for electronics development and test, equipment repair and ageing, training and teaching laboratories, and any application where the output has to be both accurate and repeatable.

Key features

What it does

0 – 32 V and 0 – 5 A

Continuously adjustable across the full range, with coarse and fine adjustment on one encoder. Dual four-digit meters show set and actual values.

MCU digital control

A series-type linear regulator under pure digital control — the stability of an analogue supply with the repeatability of a digital one.

Ten stored setups

Ten memory positions, each holding voltage, current and the OVP and OCP limits. Recall a known-good configuration instead of dialling it in again.

RS232 program control

A standard RS232 port for computer control, so the supply can be driven from a test script rather than by hand.

External control mode

An external input voltage can set the output voltage and current, which lets the supply be slaved to another instrument or a controller.

Master-slave expansion

Two or more units combine in series for more voltage or in parallel for more current, without external switching.

External monitoring outputs

Voltage and current are brought out as monitor signals, so a higher-precision meter can read the real output.

Temperature-controlled fan

A double-ball-bearing fan whose speed follows the internal temperature — quieter in normal use and longer-lived than a fixed-speed fan.

Where it sits in the range

The programmable one

ATTEN's other single-channel linear supplies — the TPR3003T and TPR3005T — are manual instruments: you set them by hand and read them off the meters. They are excellent at that, and the TPR3003T has the lowest ripple in the range.

The TPR32-5A is the one you choose when the output has to be repeatable or remote: stored setups, RS232 control, external control input and monitor outputs. It also reaches 32 V rather than 30 V, which matters more often than it sounds — a nominal 24 V system tested at its upper tolerance needs about 30 V, and there is nothing left over on a 30 V supply.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

What output does the TPR32-5A give?

0 – 32 V and 0 – 5 A, both continuously adjustable, with automatic changeover between constant voltage and constant current.

What is the difference between this and the TPR3005T?

Both are single-channel linear supplies at 5 A. The TPR3005T is manual only. The TPR32-5A adds MCU control, an RS232 port for computer control, ten stored setups including their OVP and OCP limits, an external control mode and master-slave series/parallel expansion — and it goes to 32 V rather than 30 V.

Can I control it from a PC?

Yes — it has a standard RS232 interface and supports computer program control, so output parameters can be set from a test script rather than by hand.

Can two units be combined?

Yes. The TPR32-5A supports master-slave operation: two units in series for a higher voltage, or in parallel for more current, without external switching.

What is the TRR75-2A on the same listing?

A second variant sold under the same product listing. Tell us which one you need when you order and we will confirm availability — or mail info@atten.eu first if you are not sure which suits your application.

What warranty applies?

Two years on the unit, handled from the Netherlands. Consumables are not covered, but a bench supply has none.
